Starting Oct, 13, 2026, a new right turn lane will be added to the south side of Kenosha County S just past the Union Pacific railroad tracks (or just past the for the Jerry Smith Feed & Seed store). It is required for access to the soon to-be-built 70th Avenue giving access to the Schutz Container System Inc. property.

Residents east Jerry Smith Feed & Seed store (7115 38th St) are asked to park in the designated area along the railroad tracks on the store property as driveways will be closed for the construction.

The work is weather dependent but expected to be complete by Oct .19.

Highway S will remain open during construction. Drivers should exercise caution while in the construction zone.
