The Village of Somers experienced a severe wind event on June 11, 2026. Many residents remain without power. The electric utility has been contacted and is working to restore power. We ask people to avoid Highway L (18th Street) from Green Bay Road east to 39th Avenue to help crews clean up.
Kenosha County Emergency Management has activated the 211 system, through which residents can report property damage. Please feel free to share this link with those who have damage to report: https://211wisconsin.communityos.org/damage-report.
Bottled Water
Bottled water is available at the Somers Fire & Rescue Department through a generous donation from Niagara Bottling, LLC and volunteers from Journey Disaster Response Team. Ten palettes were delivered. Residents without water service can stop by and pick up bottles until supplies last.
Yard Waste
To help residents, the Village is extending hours to the yard waste site located at the Village Hall.
