The Village of Somers experienced a severe wind event last night. The national weather service will be on site today to assess damages. First reports indicate that the event started near the intersection of Highway A and 100th Avenue and continued southeast to 47th Avenue and 22 Street. The most extensive damages appear to have taken place between Downtown Somers and Savannah of Pike Creek.
Yard Waste
To help residents, the Village is extending the hours to the yard waste site located at the Village Hall.
Residents who are finding that the wind damage caused a hazard should call Village Assistant Administrator Poirier at 262-859-2822 for assistance and Village Staff will assess the situation.

- Be cautious of Scammers. Areas with storm damage often see and uptick in scams after a storm
